About Neverfail Continuity Engine

For more than 20 years, Neverfail has been providing world-class business continuity and disaster recovery software to over fifty thousand direct customers in over sixty countries. In doing so, Continuity Engine provides a very unique technology that focuses on the best of clustering, data replication and protection all brought together with “true” application aware automatic failover. And as such, our list of partners continues to grow worldwide as do our integration partners.

Tens of thousands of deployments of Continuity Engine has proven that Continuous Availability with Application Aware Failover is truly the right approach for protecting the most mission critical Windows applications. Now in our 20th year, we are announcing the availability of Continuity Engine 2021 (version 9.0). This attests to not only the maturity of the product but this demonstrates that this is the most advanced Continuity Engine ever and still has a very unique value proposition.

With the end of life for Adobe Flash, Neverfail has redesigned the entire user experience end to end. This replaces the Engine Management Service (EMS) user interface based on Flash with an all new HTML5 user experience.

Everything has been rethought from how users deploy Continuity Engine to how you configure advanced features like split-brain avoidance and auto-failover rules. There are also small usability improvements like dot masks for IP address configurations.

Neverfail has made the UI a repository for all kinds of information you would need to know about protected applications, starting with a new dashboard, robust tool-tips, animated icons, and redesigned online help that gives you “HOW-TO” examples of how to use major features of Continuity Engine. There is also a best practices built into the online help.

Neverfail has also doubled the performance of the UI and refresh rates have improved substantially. Finally they designed it with a very pleasing color scheme that is bright, bold but easy on the eye.

Future of Cyber Security in 2021

Future of cyber security is closely related to future of information technology and also advancement of cyberspace. The role and importance of cyber space will keep on increasing in our personal lives and business.

Today, all our critical systems are interconnected and computer driven. In future more of our day to day activities and decisions will be automated and dependent on IoT, AI, and BigData and cloud computing etc. Connectivity and complexity of these devices have direct impact on level of vulnerability to these systems.

In coming future nations sponsored companies will continue to create cyber-attack related technologies for purpose of defence and offence. Also the cybercriminal, hacktivist and other finance driven criminal group will continue to use cyber technologies to convey their message and earn profit and committee crime.

So in future, the cyber security systems and technologies will need to become more advanced and sophisticated to cope up with such attacks and to protect data. there is need to connect the defence technologies such that they would be able to act in real time. Human will not be able to handle all information attacks so in future the dependency on AI will increase. Also there is need to cultivate next generation and advanced cyber experts who will know how to drive and develop those systems. We need to protect our system, technology and information with better security solution.

For now, hacking has become the number 1 cause of data breach followed by ransomware, malicious insider and outsider actors and also accidental breaches. Also it will continue be a bigger share of attack resulting in system takeover and data loss.

For threatening and punishing attacker and for prevention from cyber-attacks tougher data privacy and other cybercrime related laws are being made.

It is said that future of cyber security will be determined by what hackers and attackers will be after. And it will mostly be the health related information and also the wealth like credit card and other financial information. So cyber security will be tighter in these areas as information is the most important asset for now.

Previously the security teams focused on the on-premises systems but now they would need to consider Azure, cloud with AWS and SaaS tools that can provide avenue to leak or compromise other important information.

There is need to introduce capable automated systems that are able to monitor, detect, manage and also prevent cyber-attack in real time environment.
